Nur Alom est né en 1981 à Hasher Kandi, sur l’île de Rajnagur, Naria, Shariatpur où il a effectué ses études à l’université nationale. La tourmente politique de ce pays a ensuite obligé l’auteur à s’exiler en France en 2004. Il a appris le français, notamment au Secours catholique, puis à la Sorbonne.
